If you're a local, the Safe House is the perfect place to take an out-of-towner; seeing them balk when they reach the door and can't recite the password is a blast. This spy-themed restaurant/bar may have tourist written all over it, but at least the covert operations don't exist just to sell T-shirts. The people behind Safe House are really into their espionage mission -- holding James Bond screenings, taking pictures of themselves with the Safe House briefcase in locations all over the world, and talking in spy lingo. It's the rarest of places, a theme restaurant worth its salt. It certainly serves any cocktails a self-respecting secret agent would order -- just don't try the "shaken, not stirred" line. With a history of celebrity sightings and a fun atmosphere, this is the place for any aspiring 007.

safe house fun

I went there many years ago with two friends who play baseball. It is probably one of the best most, fun experiences of my life. My one friend had a World Series ring from one team, while the other had a ring from another team and in the initial room - prior to entering - they most have noticed who they were so they were asked to do the wave.. One guy was going one way, the other the other way.. it was hysterical. Once inside, it was amazing..the most fun we have ever had. Having travelled the world, this place has always been up there with one of the best....

MBA3boiz - 09/22/2008I have been there several times in the past years and always thought it was fun and the food was good. We were there on a Sunday in March. When we arrived, there was no one at the door. We walked into the restaurant, it was clear that they were short handed. There were dirty tables, one bartender, and even though we had reservations, we had to wait over 15 minutes, even though it was slow. The waitress was nice, but the food was okay at best. We took guests there that had never been there, so we were looking forward to a fun night. Hope it was just a bad night, and it is back to normal.

lantrn1 - 07/06/2006I'VE BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES AND IT IS ALWAYS A KICK ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO IS GOING WITH YOU THE WRONG PASSWORD. IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY, WHICH IS LESS THAN MOST CLUBS. I GO WHENEVER I'M IN TOWN. IT'S JUST A BLAST THER IS SO MANY FUN STUFF, YOU HAVE TO EXPLORE IT TO REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

bankyedwrds37 - 03/30/2006It's a great place to go just to say you've been there, and a great place to take people. But the food is just terrible and over priced. The same menu can be found in your local Piggly Wiggly frozen food isle, it really is that bad. They make good specialty drinks, so it is a nice place to go and have a good time with friends. Order a martini, it really is shaken, not stirred...
Always a blast

mooseinforest1 - 03/09/2005I got taken there for my 29th birthday by some friends who deliberately did NOT tell me the password. That is part of the fun! This is SUCH a great place - little things hiding in EVERY corner! The "puzzle wall" is fun and so is the "alibi telephone". The drinks are NOT watered down and the staff OBVIOUSLY loves what they are doing. Just go and have fun!
