Pizza Man is persistently on many of Milwaukee's 'Best Of' lists for its extensive wine list. Bottles are stacked high behind the small bar in the entrance room of the restaurant, and the bartenders can help you choose a new favorite. Try a mellow Shiraz with Pizza Man's decadent pizza a la mode, topped with artichoke hearts and cream cheese, or sample a Pinot Grigio with the mussels.

Also noteworthy are Pizza Man's ravioli entrees, such as the wild boar-stuffed variety. Served in a seriously compelling alfredo sauce, the ravioli have been called "little pillows of happiness" by elated diners. Parties of six or more should make reservations, as seating is tight. The outdoor patio expands seating capacity in good weather. -- Jessica Zierten

This is not the place to go for pizza. If you want excellent pizza, try Ziffaros.

The wait is horrible. We waited 1 and 1/2 hours to sit, because we had a group larger than 4. Not suggested for large groups at all. Food's pretty good, but not worth the wait. Also, the staff is not sympathetic or helpful in trying to alleviate problems. Not recommended.

    Dear Mike:
Barry & Marilyn (Hand) Finegold want to say Hi! We hope you are doing well. When we stop in you are unfortunately not around. We will make it a point to visit you in the future. Our kids are getting bigger and as a result we are gaining a little more freedom. I imagine your boys are around 30 and married. WOW!
    Best regards,
    Barry & Marilyn

Let's not forget about the ribs and the escagot! They are out of this world! The drinks are good, even if you don't drink wine. They definately give you your moneys worth! A great date place to sit and chat. It reminds me of somewhwhere "Friends" would frequent! We have been patrons for many years and will continue to be! Keep up the good work!

Pizza Man is awesome! Being from Chicago I find it hard to get really good pizza in Wisconsin but Pizza Man can definitely compete with the best in Chicago! The atmosphere of this restaurant is great and the food is even better. I would reccomend Pizza Man to anyone, I only wish they would expand because its a small place. But definitely wonderful food!

The cheesy garlic sauce with pizza crust pieces to dip was memorable - I wish there had been more of it. Until recently, I hadn't been to Pizza Man for about 10 years because I abhor cigarette smoke, and years ago, smoke smell was so embedded in the restaurant, it stunk even when there were no active smokers in it. They must have cleaned it thoroughly, because it didn't stink much. Most people don't smoke in public now anyway. Why do they allow it in this place that features fine wine and inventive cuisine? I'd eat there regularly if I wasn't afraid of the smoke.
