I'd been to Fortune a number of times. Their lunch special is usually quite good for the price. I went recently with my husband and was overwhelmed with how poor the food and service was. We were only one of two occupied tables in the restuarant and the wait staff seemed almost annoyed that we were there at all. One literally stood behind my husband and just stared at us while we ate. It was less than inviting. When we did get our food, it was also terrible. My husband ordered General Tso Chicken and there was no "hottness" to it at all. It tasted like overly-sweet sweet-n-sour sauce. There is no other word for it than just bad. Do no waste your time and money.

we were seated very near the kitchen. the staff was watching us to the point of making us uncomfortable. we felt that our conversation was not private. I don't pay money for this type of service.

Great authentic Chinese restaurant on south side of Milwaukee. Prices are affordable price. Can get busy, but the wait has been worth it. Restaurant is is small & a bit cramped, but clean.

this place is so good. even though i only get the same thing everytime, i kno w everything else is yummy too. i love the veggie soup and lunch time is the best. only like 6 dollars and u get a masin dish egg roll soup and pork fried rice. your crazy if u dont like this place

I wouldn't rate this restaurant as being clean. Far from it. we dined there threee wks ago when we found part of a dead centipede in our soup. Although they took the soup away and didn't charge for the soup (that's as far as they went in their attempt to rectify the situation),
They offered no apology, instead we were treated as if we were some kind of nuisance throughout our staying there.

This is the best Chinese restaurant on the south-west side of Milwaukee. True, it's cramped but the food is excellent and inexpensive. It's also very clean.
