Down the road from Miller Park and the State Fair grounds sits a romantic, cozy Italian eatery that has been feeding hungry Milwaukeeans for years. Owned by James Balistreri, this location is noticeably more upscale than its sister restaurant on 68th street. While Balistreri's Bluemound Inn offers a fine dining experience, it retains a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

The menu is downright mouth-watering and includes an dizzying array of appetizers, salads, pasta, pizza and Italian entrees. Start dinner off right with scallops amaretto before moving onto the blackened duck breast salad. Next, be sure to pack your breath mints and try the house's Pasta Balistreri, made with rigatoni pasta, Italian sausage, roasted garlic, shallots, caramelized fennel, fresh mozzarella and crimini mushrooms tossed in a zesty marinara sauce. Balistreri pizza fans need not worry if it's the famous pie you crave, since the same great pizzas are available at this location as well. -- Rachael Liska

    Hi, Just Eat Here on Aug19,09 and My family and I all agree that we will dine here again I will come back for some pizza and garlic bread last time i had Steak and i had a good Time...

    They have served the best pizza for over 50 years with a full complument of a menu of dinners and lunches. First class all the way.

    We used to love this place but after a couple of bad meals we won't return. The service has always been great but the food has been hit-or-miss. We had one really lousy steak dinner and since then choose to dine elsewhere...

    Balisteri's is a five star restaurant both in the quality of food and in the super service! This is definately fine dining at its best!

    Have been going there since it opened, excellent thin crust pizza, the calimari is to die for as is the egg plant and great service...far superior to Balistreri's on 68th street in tosa
