In the former home of Salumeria on Hudson rests Seattle's only certified Neapolitan pizza joint. Enthusiastic founder Joe Fugere took his passion across the Atlantic to perfect his technique in the home of pizza, and the results are displayed in every bubbly crisp crust that emerges from the wood-fired oven. Delve into the house-named Tutta Bella, with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, caramelized onions, hot sausage, mushrooms and parmigiano cheese. Start with a salad or have it after, European style. Can't decide between salad or pizza? Try the tasty pizza salad, topped with a Tutta Bella Mista. A handful of tasty wines complement the menu, with several choices available by the glass. Towering stacks of boxes are testament to a brisk take-out business, but many locals are happier to dine in, at a sturdy pine table beneath high ceilings supported by burgundy and mustard walls. If the waves of heat rolling from the oven don't warm the cockles of your heart, the happy, welcoming staff will. Cool down with a scoop of gelato or sorbetto: the oh-so-tart 'limone' is sure to shock the most jaded of tastebuds.

  • Very Good

This place is very good. I've never been to Italy, but I imagine their pizza is like this, thin and light and with fresh ingredients. Don't go here if you are expecting an American style pizza (large thick crusts, lots of cheese, meat, sauce, etc.) because you will be disappointed. I went here with my wife and we had a chicken caesar salad (very good, dressing wasn't too heavy, garlic wasn't over powering, one of the best Caesars I've ever had). The pizza, yes it was small, but it was good, very light and airy, a kind of pizza Ive never had before. We rounded out our meal with a tiramisu cake. And that was one of the best I've ever had. At $5 a bowl for tiramisu, it's worth it. This is a place where you need to order a salad, pizza and dessert to be full, but afterwards, you leave satisfied.

Nice crust and fun to watch them prepare, but HOW did this get to be the top voted pizza in Seattle. ANY chain pizza has better and more substantial toppings

This was a very poor excuse for a pizza. Liked to watch them ccok it but nothing there when it is done.

I love the atmosphere, gelato and service. I do not like the soggy center of the pizza. I love the flavor of the different pizzas. I wonder if there is anything to correct the soggyness that I do not like. Even so I continue to return.

  • Thin as the hair on my head

Pizza so thin I could see through a slice ! How is it that the pizza here is so very different from NYC pizza ? NYC with thousands of first & second generation ex Neapolitano's pizzareias where every slice is pliable and foldable and none are CRISPY? Are they making it wrong in NYC? Or here?

Not only is the pizza (and gelato!) delicious, but the atmosphere of Tutta Bella makes you feel like you're in a little pizzeria in Italy! It's so cozy and charming...lovely. go there.

This is the closest thing to the real thing, unless your wife is a GOOD Italian chef.

Best margarita pizza in seattle. Thin bubbly crust, fresh mozzarella, good sauce. Ordering at the counter and then being served by waitstaff seems a bit confusing, but for great pizza, who cares.
