When Danny Piecora moved to Seattle from Brooklyn in the '70s, he couldn't help but notice something was missing from the Northwest: New York-style pizzas. Lucky for Seattleites, he did something about it. Piecora's hand-tossed pies are thin, crisp and buttery -- providing that momentary, mouth-watering trip back to the East Coast. Ordered by the slice or by the half or whole pie, choose from over 20 toppings or let one of Piecora's trademark specialty pizzas do the picking for you. Sure, they have calzones, pastas and salads, but with pizza this yummy -- stick to the crusts.

The pizzeria atmosphere comes complete with red plastic booths and checkered vinyl tablecloths. And although many of the wall hangings seem to have come right out of a NYC gift shop, Piecora's is very Seattle-centric. Located in funky Capitol Hill, many of Piecora's patrons tend to have at least one body piercing -- if not a tattoo. Even trip hop and trance music mixes into the tomato-scented air, providing the kind of street-smart attitude needed to accompany Seattle's tastiest New York Pizzas.

I've eaten here before but never had the "Piecora Special Salad." I just can't say enough about how delicious it was. WOW ..... And for the pizza, it was just the way I liked it. Normally I'am not a pizza lover but, Piecora has changed my ways. My dinner was the "BOM." Can't wait to eat there again. Happy, happy, Joy Joy. Just loved it. :)

  • Best pie in Seattle

If you want a great NY pie, then Piecora's is for you. Besides a great pie, its a great neighborhood pizzeria as well.

Try a just plain cheese pie and you'll see what I'm talking about. And hey, they got everything else, plus cannoli. What more do you want, anyway?

I used to live in the neighborhood and now I drive more than 30 miles because no one does it better than Piecoras.

Make no mistake, Piecora's Pizzeria is the best I've had since leaving New York. Tasted pizza in New York and Chicago and I have to say, PIECORA'S IS THE CREME DE LA CREME of pizzas in Seattle.

The food is good, however, I can not recommend it to others due to the smoking policy. There are no non-smoking sections. Is this the east coast ?? How could this happen in Seattle ?????
I would like good food without putting my health in danger !!!!

I was taken to this restaurant as a guest and was more than pleased. Finally great Pizza like we had in Miami, where we grew up. Your Pizza has all the flavor and you offer all the toppings, especially peppercini's, which no other restaurtant here will or can do!!!! You can consider us regulars!
    Hats off to you!!!

Love this place as do my teenage kids. The cheese bread with marinara is to die for along with the pizzas. Atomesphere is great and everyone feels welcome.

Good pizza, they deliver and they workers are very kewl. They are socially conscious and put up posters and flyers for various causes. It's a well rounded pizza, the sauce is excellent the cheese and toppings great, the only potential weak spot is the crust, tends to get soggy. They make good pasta, salads and sandwiches. I love their Italian Hero.
