More pub than cafe, Brouwer's has the largest micro and import beer selection in Fremont -- some 50 taps and 200 bottles to be exact. After all, Brouwer's Cafe is brought to you by the same folks that run Bottleworks in Wallingford, so you are definitely in the hands of serious brew connoisseurs. The beer list will have you saying "proost!" to all the Belgian imports, as will the food menu -- really, there aren't many kitchens in Seattle that serve up Brussels-style waterzooi or Belgian cheese croquettes. As for the pub's interior, everything from the dark wooden bar to the exposed brick walls says comfort. For a panoramic view of the bustling main room, snag a table on the horseshoe-shaped second story, where you'll also find a private parlor with overstuffed couches and a blazing fireplace. And although the space is virtually window-less (aside from a skylight), the outdoor seating area makes for an ideal open-air spot to hang out and share a picture during those Seattle summer nights.
