It's hard to tell just what makes this drive-up restaurant so well known. It could be the fact that it seems like it's still the '60s here: A carhop comes out to take your order, and the Beach Boys serenade you from speakers as you wait in your car (there are no seats inside). It could be that about a zillion people see it as they drive by on the 520. Or it could be that it used to be the favorite lunch spot of Bill Gates when Microsoft had their offices next door -- the restaurant even put in a path to Microsoft! It could just be the really good shakes, the chocolate cokes, the greasy fries, or the hamburgers piled high with cheese, lettuce, and even bacon. Burgermaster cites its "please the customer" attitude for its longevity, and you don't have to own your own empire to afford it.

Burgermaster of Bellevue is consistant and you can choose from plain to adding whatever you want. I always get a "Tomato Burger" it has everything but cheese.

The quality is the same as it has been since the 60z. If they don't get it right they will replace it. Homemade shakes are the best.

Hope this one gets on the page. :(
Burgermaster has cheapened in last couple of years. I grew up going there and last couple of times has been bland. Great shakes tho.

  • Have it your way

When I tried Dicks...I could not have the burger any way but dicks.
At Burgermaster's I can have loads of fried onions the way I and my family likes it since 1949 (at my families own drive-in in Racine, WI.)

Hot..the way it should be... and juicy...mmmm

The shakes have real fresh/froz fruit...not the canny junk.

    Red Mill: too expensive
XXXRoot beer: too expensive for a cheap soy added pattie

  • The best isn't a burger!

Burgermaster may be famous for its burgers, but the REAL treat, available nowhere else in the area that we know of, is the Crab Sandwich. Two slices of toasted, buttered sourdough bread are held together by ooey, gooey melted swiss cheese and LOTS of REAL crab -- none of that imitation stuff here. The flavors are exquisitely unique, and the sandwich is so rich that many fans save a half for later. If you like crab, you'll LOVE the Burgermaster Crab Sandwich!
