After you get tired of visiting museums and historic houses and the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the sea, head down to Atlantic Avenue for thrills and screams at Rockin' Rosie's Fun House, Mirror Maze, Haunted Mansion and Nightmare Mansion. A favorite with kids, Rockin' Rosie's is a carnival-style funhouse where strobe lights and black lights make maneuvering through the house a little tricky. Next door is Mirror Maze, a classic maze made of mirrors -- the type that have been made famous by dozens of movies. The only difference is you don't get to shoot out the mirrors to help find your way out of the maze.

There are also mirrors that will make you either ecstatic or depressed about your body image. If Halloween comes and goes too quickly for you, you will love both Nightmare Mansion and Haunted Mansion. These frightful entertainment venues resemble a typical haunted house (fake blood, screams and startling appearances), so it's not really appropriate for small children. These attractions typically stay open as long as people keep coming. If you and the kids can survive all the fun, treat yourself to a corn dog, cotton candy and a waffle cone.
