Popular for its cozy, all-American atmosphere -- smoky and casual -- this pub makes it a family affair. For breakfast, the menu hits the basics with egg dishes, like steak and eggs and country ham and eggs. Lunches and dinners are pub-style fare, although the kitchen has adapted to modern tastes with chicken fajitas and blackened tuna sandwiches. But this is a place known for its outstanding chili dog and that's more representative of the overall menu.
The bartenders and waitresses won't hesitate to put you in your place if you aren't polite, but they get to know and love their regulars. The bar features a wide variety of beers at great prices, but it's probably best not to order a sour apple martini here. Best of all, when you're ready to leave, you can buy a keg of beer to go.

Best little place in town
Used to be one of the Redskins favorite hangouts. Best place to see Shelby Cobras in the Washington Area on a Sat. morning. Great food, Great company
Add Commentyou will love it
It's a blast from the past. The chilli dogs are out of this world. Truly the place is a dump, But please don't change it, it's all part of the charm. At lunch time it's hecktic, but there is a good reason for that, once you have been there you will understand why.
Awesome
I have been going to the Inn since 1975 and it has only changed slightly. Personality , freindly patrons, unpretentous food. What more could you ask for. When it changed hands awhile back I had some concerns. False alarm !.
Good Old Days

I remember the Good Old Days days at the Vienna Inn. Any weekday at lunchtime you'd have to elbow your way through the packed standing room only crowd, from the door to the bar/counter to order your beers and chili cheese dogs. Service was on the honor system. When you were finished, you then elbowed your way to the cash register where Mike, the owner, would ask "What'd ya have?" You'd tell him how many beers and dogs you had and he'd punch it up on the old-time key operated register. I grew up in Vienna and I don't ever recall hearing of anyone who had cheated Mike. Mike is no longer with us, and the new owners don't follow the honor system, but the Vienna Inn retains all the rough charm and atmosphere Mike endowed it with. Oh yeah, I also think the Vienna Inn has gained just a bit of international note. I was incredulous once when I saw Mike's smiling face...... printed just below the words "Vienna Inn" on the T-shirt of a young carioca lady walking down Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro! Honest!
