Brazilian steakhouse fills guests with savory meat options and delectable side items.

In Short
Traditional Brazialian fare is served at a set price with flair in this traditional Hill Country-esque farmhouse. Casual upscale southwest Austin professionals and families dine at cloth-covered tables in an otherwise warm and relaxed interior. Chefs prepare ten seasoned meats, including pork, beef, chicken, lamb and sausage, which they carve at your table and place directly on your place. Brazilian fried bananas, rice and beans, yucca and an extensive salad bar round out the offering.

This is not your average steak house and you should expect South American spices and serving styles. I found it excellent and the overall price was not at all out of line with the service, portions and varieties. Not you place if you are a vegan.

  • Strange tasting beef

    Review rating : 2out of 5   Jcanmimi - 06/11/2008

I ate here with a friend and could barely choke down the strange tasting meat. My husband thought the problem was my palate and went later that week with one of his friends, same outcome. We've been to this type of restaurant before, and we've never have trouble eating steak. Period. The salad bar was lovely and the vegetables were excelent. The rolls were worth a request for more. Some of the waitstaff were excellent, some of the beef servers sort of floated past our table without acknowledging that we would like a portion of the item they were offering. For the price, I wouldn't bother to give them another try. I'd rather know sure that my mealtime and money will be worth the trip.

This establishment is for the seasoned diner, Kobe Steak in Yokohama, Egg Plant Lasgana in Rome, Jamon in Assisi, Rueben on Rye in New York. At this place it helps to know meat textures , some might be a litte gamey/ or tough but all are hot off the spit.and very tasty. Ask for the fried spanish daggers, sort of like french fries w/o all the grease. I had a good time their and over ate, and as per the wait staff, there down home enough to give them a holler as they walk by. Salad bar is almost a meal in itself with very good and choices that you do not see at typical salad bars, the house wine is good and they have a good selection on the wine list. I plan to stop in on my next visit to Austin.
