In the ongoing battle to acquire the title of Best Burger in San Antonio, it's nice to know that even so-called underdogs can be legitimate contenders. When The Lord's Kitchen opened for business in 1994, its owners had but $300 to invest in the start-up venture. Its off-the-beaten-path location underneath the New Braunfels Street overpass didn't seem like an ideal place to attract customers, either. Whether you credit divine intervention or simple business savvy for the subsequent success of this Eastside burger joint, one thing is clear: Burger blessings abound at the Lord's Kitchen. For example, there's the basic one-pound Lord's Burger that can be topped with ingredients like chile, bacon, cheese, jalapenos, etc. Next in rank is the one-and-a-half-pound Get Down Burger. Finally, for those who sense angioplasty in their immediate future, there's the dangerously-close-to-heart-stopping Hurt You Burger -- a whopping two pounds of beef. If by chance you can finish off this burger, your photograph will be taken and mounted on the Hurt You Burger Wall of Fame. Don't worry though. If your burger appetite is more on the wimpy side, there are modest servings like the quarter-pound burger available.

Actually I have never been to this place but I rated it good just because no restaurant is perfect. You might get a disease from just about anywhere. If there would have been a Veggie Burger Option I would have rated that BEST for health, the Earth, TASTE, the Animals and, last but not least, for the starving people of the world.
P.S. FYI. the Lord would not condone what is happening to the animals here on earth....

This little hole in the wall has the best burgers in the city! Just ask any police officer on the eastside.

I have tried all of the other burger places in SA and one thing I can truly say is that they have absolutly nothing on the Lords Kitchen .... when me and my family first went there it didn't seem like anything special .. but when we tried the burgers it totally blew our minds !!! I will never go to another burger joint!!!! That I can say for a fact you other guys should just quit ... you can't compete with perfection .... sorry !!! Now when we try a buger joint we always compare it to the Lords and they never come close .... Lords Rocks !!!!
