Located just a short trek from the Embassy 14 Cinema, Julian's New York Style Pizza holds promise of the legendary Big Apple pizzerias. You'll find Julian's at its busiest during the lunch hours and on weekend evenings. The role of friendly neighborhood pizzeria is one that Julian's fills with gusto and creativity. Under a fluorescent purple awning that shades its storefront exterior, the little pizza shop offers sheltered outdoor seating in the form of a couple of ironwork tables and matching chairs. Inside, the big red-and-white checkered tablecloths and faux-stone columns suggest the atmosphere of an Italian cafe. From the yeasty New York-style pizza layered with high-end meat trimmings and bubbly hot cheeses to the restaurant's Italian subs and Chicago-style hot dogs, Julian's strives for out-of-the-ordinary tastes and quality. Such attention to culinary detail certainly deserves a break now and then. That's why on weekday afternoons between 3PM and 5PM, the staff of Julian's takes a needed siesta. Don't worry though, the pizza oven fires up again for the dinner hour.

I have been searching the state for a great Stromboli. I'm so glad I tried Julian's. I highly recommend them to all my friends. Being military, we are glad to have found a gem of a restaurant to share with visiting family and friends. I give them 6 Stars out of 5. (Star) that's my two cents, and I'm glad to give it.

  • Great music, good pizza

I walked in to Julians greeted by happy classical sounds of a 4 piece jazz group (Every Friday night). The house was packed and people were groovin'. I sat down to a table that was just cleared and waited for my guest. Soon after my guest arrived I placed our order with a cashier who didn't have a smile and hardly looked into my eyes. We waited for our NY Italian pie that came out in just the right amount of time. We had a sausage pepperoni pizza that was alright. The pizza lacked zing as well as the ability to taste the different toppings. There wasn't a separation of taste or ingredients. I would have preferred maybe a little more, if there was at all, oregano just to make it more New Yorky. I'll be back to give the Stromboli a stab to see if it can beat the one at Pizza Italia on Thousand Oaks.

The best pizza I have ever found outside of NYC. The food is also authentic italian and delicious. My favorite is the egg plant parmesian dinner plate. The lasagna is awesome.

  • WOW!!

Wow is an understatement. I've frequented Julian's since the doors first opened and have ALWAYS been served superior meals! A flood of loving memories envelope me as soon as I walk through the door --the aromas of HOME. Memories of my Gramma and Mom and the wonderful Sicilian cooking I grew up with...a house dressing as good as my Mom made, the kind that you sop up from the bottom of the bowl with a crust of bread to get every last drop! The food is fresh and delicious, the atmosphere friendly and inviting. Again, memories -- thist time of the restaurant/bar that my uncles' owned in Connecticut. Julian, his wife, and his family make you feel that you're a part of it all...welcome to eat and run or sit and visit for as long as you like. Savor your meal - every bite, no matter what you choose. I do! Each mouthful a moment of celebration...tastes and textures on your tongue, subtle combinations of herbs and spices, aromas that entice. My favorite dish? Look at the menu, close your eyes and point! Julian's is a slice of my heart and soul served up for all to share.

  • Perfection. Best in Town.

If you want to enjoy pizza made right, visit Jullian's Pizza. I love pizza where the focus is on good, quality toppings and not thick, cheap pizza crust. Jullian's Pizza offers a perfectly backed homemade pizza crust topped with with an amazing pizza sauce and plently of fresh toppings. My favorite is pepperoni, Italian sausage and jalepeno. The authentic Italian recipe has been in the family for years. You will enjoy the authentic Italian dishes. The eggplant parmesan is the best I've ever had. I can't wait for Jullian to open another location. The only downside is waiting for great food when the restaurant is packed.
