Chester's boasts the "best burgers on both sides of the Pecos." From double hamburgers to green-chile cheeseburgers, this place may have a point. However, Chester's fame may have just as much to do with what you use to wash the burgers down. Featuring more than 200 kinds of beer, this local chain has quite a following. Of course, Chester's also has hot dogs and chicken sandwiches, as well as the usual sides (fries, onion rings, stuffed jalapenos and such). Got a business luncheon coming up? Try the popular banquet room. Lunch and dinner crowds are common in this rustic restaurant, but apparently the burgers and beer are worth the wait.

TAYLORRJJR - 05/31/2008It is the real thing...Like the old bowling alley burgers...Greasy burgers dripping with cheese and FRESH (not frozen) french fries still swimming in grease and catsup in the red squeeze bottles....This is what a real burger and fries is all about....Young people just don't get it.......If you want healthy...don't go to Chester's......

aspiringwriter4 - 05/25/2008This place has been my favorite since my family lived in San Antonio when i was Eight years old. Haven't been since last time we were in Texas but a trip to Chester's makes the entire vacation. I love it there, some of the best burgers i have ever had.

Aceg1402 - 05/16/2008Actually I have never been to this place but I rated it good just because no restaurant is perfect. You might get a disease from just about anywhere. If there would have been a Veggie Burger Option I would have rated that BEST for health, the Earth, TASTE, the Animals and, last but not least, for the starving people of the world.
Place to stop when in town
parradise402 - 06/25/2007My family and I enjoy visiting Chester's everytime we are in town. Whenever someone comes with us that's never been, we take them there. The hamburgers are awesome, juicy, tasty, the bun is delicious and the fries and onion rings are BIG and yummy. I have only had one bad experience, this happened during our last visit in April 2007. We stopped by during lunch. 2 hamburgers out of the 3 that we ordered had a hair, mine had two. I was half way done with mine, but I just couldn't enjoy it or finish it after that discovery. But I will go again, and will ask them to hold the hair.

Mouth watering burgers!
yul77 - 05/02/2006Chester's can't be beat when it comes to hamburgers. Big, juicy and flavorful..these are the burgers you have dreams about!! The fries are crispy and salty (kind of like boardwalk fries..mmmmmm). The greenchili burgers are pretty yummy but even the plain ones will knock your socks off!!
