CONSISTENCY

I have been to Cheesy Jane's on several occasions and hev stopped because it lacks consistency. The hamburgers can be OUTSTANDING! , but then you run into the occasional dry burger or bun. The service is good and they have corrected my food orders when asked. I don't want to be bothered with reordering on a 1 hour lunch break. If you have time, great place to take family on weekend.

Roaches at 1604 near 281Location

The last time we visited the Cheesy Janes At 1604 near 281, there were raches crawling on the walls, the staff was rude and did nothing when they were told. Too sad but as a result we will never frequent any of the locations. they will not get any of our money.

Actually I have never been to this place but I rated it good just because no restaurant is perfect. You might get a disease from just about anywhere. If there would have been a Veggie Burger Option I would have rated that BEST for health, the Earth, TASTE, the Animals and, last but not least, for the starving people of the world.

What a Nightmare

I work across the street from Cheesy Jane's and I have eaten there, at least twice a week, for the past three years. I took my family to eat there as a treat after a party the Saturday before Halloween, but it was the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant bar none. The manager was very arrogant, rude, when we first walked in, and overly flirtatious and suggestive to me, in front of my wife, throughout the entire meal. As a former food server of fifteen years, I noticed that the only person in that restaurant who had it together was a friendly, little, green-eyed waitress who has waited on me several times in the past and always seems to have things under control. This little girl had quite a large party, which is challenging enough, but one of the men in that party was intoxicated and "slobbering" all over her. This was obvious to me and my family and the party next to us. Not once was she offered any assistance and in the end, I suppose when she refused his advances, the intoxicated man lied to the manager saying that his server was rude and that she basically tried to sabbotage his meal. Then they walked out and the manager began to yell and cuss at this girl in front of the customers. This young lady's cool was most impressive. She calmly requested that this be taken outside and the next time I saw her she was gathering her things to leave. I'm not sure what ensued, but my wife followed her outside and put a $100 bill in her hand. I was so disgusted with everything that happened that I didn't even ask for the discount they offer to employees of the company I work for. I just wanted to get out of there. I will never step foot in that place ever again and I am planning to write a memo to my fellow employees warning them about Cheesy Jane's. I refuse to patronize any establishment, particularly a greasy burger joint with sub-standard food, that treats their most valuable employees like garbage.

poor performance

First let me say the food was the best thing about this resturant and it sucked. The Kangaroo meat paty was cheewy rubber at best and the teen wait staff wouldent know customer service if it hit them between the eyes. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME. THIS PLACE STINKS.

Just got through telling someone in College Station (while eating a burger) about Cheesy Jane's! Burgers are handmade patties of ground round; great fries, homemade style shakes...never had anything there that wasn't GOOD. The staff is friendly, helpful...you feel at home! They have spoiled us...if I have to eat a burger anywhere else; my first question is..."do you make your own patties?" Of course, they never tell me the truth:(
CJ's bean burgers are as good as the original; just with more meat and, not as greasy. I could go on forever...they got my vote!
