Locals know you don't have to look far for mouth-watering barbecue at a great price. Bill Miller has been serving San Antonio for more than 50 years and has been committed to quality from the beginning. While the decor is simple and nearly exactly the same in every location, don't let the chain-restaurant style fool you -- this is comfort food that won't empty your wallet. From the tender beef brisket to the flavorful barbecued chicken, the food here will make you forget and forgive the less-than-exciting atmosphere. No one can resist the brisket on their first visit, but when you return (and you will), treat yourself to a sausage plate or sausage sandwich. The delightful flavor and tenderness will hook you quickly. Another local secret is the famous Bill Miller iced tea. People in San Antonio buy it in buckets. You'll see why. -- Ian O'Regan

BEST BROWNIES EVER! YOU HAVE TO TRY THEM

  • Over priced and under serviced

I guess the only big problem with Bill Millers I see is the greyish colored meat they serve. It is bland without any taste, adding a bland sause to it only makes it abit better. Also, you never know if you are going to get a tasty middle portion or what seems like burnt scraps from the ends. I also have a problem when I went back to show the servers there was a hair in my food, she said "We will take care of the right away". After what seemed like 20 minutes she returned with a hot plate of food, complete with the fork marks I had poked in it at the table..Gross, I'm sure the .012 cents the new plate would have cost would have spoiled that restrants profit/loss ratio! I have been all over this great state plus many others, including California (they eat beans in their chili *ECHHH*), Hawaii, Colorado etc., and points in the far eastern states, and my heart and my taste buds still yearn for Bill Miller's. I wish I was home right now!

  • Great food and value!!!

Bill Miller's has really good food. Aside from their meats being delicious, their bar-b-q sauce is OUTSTANDING. I'm not originally from San Antonio, but I loved it and I actually crave their food more than any other restaurant. I don't know what the people before me saw wrong with it, probably just disgruntled employees. Trust me I know bar-b-que, I'm a very picky eater and this place is great.

  • Yuck!!!!!

The food here is nasty!! There's no other way to put it. I'm new here from california and I saw this place always crowded. So I thought it would be good. I was dead wrong. It's just nasty.

We just moved too Sa and the first place we went was Bill Millers. It was over priced you get a small poboy and some soggy nast fries and a tea that tastes old. This was all over priced. The only thing I can recomened is the brownies they were great!
