I have been her a few times. If my reservation is for 7:30, I get seated at 9. This is for a party of four. Two out of three times, I have had to send it back. Once twice, and told them to keep it.

I would go there everyday if I lived closer. Their crab cakes are the best I've ever had. They are on the menu as an appetizer, however, I have them as a main course.

VISITING FROM OUT OF TOWM, SO ENJOYED FINDING A VERY GOOD RESTAURANT. OUR WAITER WAS EXCELLENT AND THE SALAD WAS THE BEST. THE FILET COULD HAVE BEEN MORE FLAVORFUL, BUT WAS VERY TENDER.

My wife and I visited the steakhouse and found it to be busy and noisy. We had a reservation and showed up 15 minutes early. However we had to wait an another 45 minutes for a table. Once seated the waiter tried to rush everything during our dinner as if trying to turn his tables over fast. We both ordered steaks and the casserole of potatoes with salads. The salads were great, however the steaks were soaked in butter or grease as was the potato casserole. We tried several attempts to get the waiters attention but were completely ignored and left sitting looking at the greasy meal. When he returned he was not pleasant and we ate alittle and left soon afterwards. This is not a cheap restaurant by any account and alittle more personal service would not hurt them for the price of the fare. WE ended up at Coldstone having the ice cream for desert which proved a better choice. So to me Pappas is still # 1 in Houston for great service and a steak..
