The popular steakhouse features rough cedar and brick walls, plus a collection of museum-quality artifacts and collectibles from Texas history.     What a shock. This restaurant is nothing like it's former self and not worthy of being number one or even grouped with the likes of some of the others that fell short of #1Best.

    way over rated.....one can get a comparable, or even better, steak for less at some other place.....like golden corral..ha ha ha....save your $$$

    The best steak and atmosphere in Houston. Add to that the community sevices provided to the local schools and you have the best of the best.

    Everything about the Taste is exceptional, from the food to the service, to the staff, to the decor! A unique and personal experience that chain steakhouses can't offer. It's the Southern hospitality at it's best!
    I recommend the center cut fillet with all the trimmings (garlic butter, wrapped in bacon...etc)
