JPa2650909 - 07/10/2008I had the fortune of dining here once and I have yet to forget the experience! The filet tantalized my taste buds like I'd never experienced before or have experienced yet from ANY steakhouse! My filet was cooked to perfection with absolutely wonderful texture and an almost melt-in-your-mouth sensation! I certainly hope that I get to go there again, but until then with the gas prices and living so far north of the city, I will have to be satisfied with second best; my husband and his wonderful grilling abilities....yes, he too can make me a melt-in-your-mouth porterhouse at home!!! But for those of you not so blessed with a grilling chef at their disposal, Ruth's is TOPS in my book!!!

Pirsch - 07/07/2008Anyone who thinks Saltgrass Steakhouse is good, or a stekhouse, shouldn't be allowed to vote. You are truly an idiot. The filet is top notch, as well as the spinach. Try the bread pudding for desert. Fabulous. Fleming's and Sullivan's are also great steakhouses but don't make the list here (for some unknown reason).

fantastic. Been to many other steak houses in Houston and still best filet.
Papas Steak House is also great, but order the NY Strip as their filet
can't touch the filet at Ruth Chris.Very Dissappointed
Txteebird - 06/11/2008My husband and I went there once, and we will never go back! Our steaks tasted too much like butter. It's way too rated for the cost and most importantly the flavor! Everything cost separate, too. You have to pay for your steak, bake potato, and salad separately! It was a truly a disappointment. Salt Grass Steak House is 10 tons better, and you get your salad with your steak at no cost!

WAAAAYYYY to overated!!
waykar1297 - 02/20/2007My husband and I went there for his birthday, thinking we were going to get a superb meal with all of the hype we have heard. What a waste of money and time! We drove 1 hour one way, had the driest of steaks, (and we ordered ours medium rare), the vegetables were cold, and the waitstaff was okay. We ended up taking the rest home, which was over half of the steak. For this place to be rated number 2 is wrong. We will never go there again.

jene2702 - 02/20/2007Very consistent service and quality across this wonderful chain of restaurans. Their filet is without a doubt, one of the very best.
The crabtini appetizer is amazing. The garlic mashed potatos are just melt in your mouth. To top off the dutch apple dessert of course with ice cream. Good wine or champagne only adds to the greatness of the meal.
