Comanche6 - 06/12/2008Went there this week. 45 minutes to get our steaks and all of them over done. Very disappointed. Have had some great steaks at Three Forks in Austin.

Janhhh - 06/11/2008I love everything about this restaurant. From the moment you drive up, it is first rate all the way. I love the ambiance, the service is impeccable and the steaks are always first rate. We recently celebrated my husband's 50th birthday there with a party of 12 and they couldn't have been more hospitable. My favorite place for special occasions!

etexassticks - 03/31/2007Everything Pappa's touches is good because they believe in quality thoughout every aspect of their business. ---with one exception, they don't treat their employees very well--- I know, I used to work for them... But, I still love their restaurants!

allpa - 01/28/2006It's been a few years since I was there, but after a little difficulty finding a restaurant after a long flight from Florida, seven of us were cordially escorted to a table where I was treated to the best piece of beef I ever put my teeth into.
It was tender, flavorful, cooked to perfection and everything I could ask for. The service was fantastic, the environment warm and attractive. The only minor caveat is that I don't smoke and it was fairly thick at times.
Best of all, dinner was on the client, along with several bottles of excellent wine.Just Right
pjruckman - 09/13/2005When you want an excellent meal with an atmosphere that adjusts to your particular event, go to Pappas. I've enjoyed everything from a $1000 plus business get-together to a romantic evening to dinner with my 11 yr old daughter. Each time I was treated correctly. The food is First Class as is the service. My favorite steak house in Houston. Come as you are and be treated like a star.

spinmom49 - 06/15/2005I got food poisoning from a shrimp cocktail...I called the restaurant manager to report it and he really didnt care. I also called the health department.
You Get What You Pay For
afounda - 05/27/2005Sure a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The only steakhouse in town that has not only Prime beef, but in-house Dry Aged Prime beef. Wines dating back to 1900. The best desserts in town, and professional yet friendly service. A weekly stop for only the wealthy and those with large expence accounts, but a special occation stop for us all...
