One of Houston's most popular and notorious nightclubs, Numbers has been hosting a variety of great bands and dance music since 1978. The Village People, Nine Inch Nails, Elliot Smith, Snoop Dogg and Paul Oakenfold are among the artists who have played at Numbers, along with some of the best local and regional bands in genres from pop to punk. Five nights a week Numbers draws an all-ages, alternative crowd, with top progressive DJs. Tuesday is sometimes Swing Night (check the schedule), but Thursday is eternally Goth Night and Friday is the famed '80s Night with the immensely popular 50-cent Shiner. Numbers offers a roomy dance floor and two giant video screens that flash remix videos, created especially for this Houston institution. Done dancing? Shoot some pool, play a video game, or relax and check out the scene from the second floor "quiet bar" that overlooks the stage and dance floor. -- Chase Hamblin

It's Home
Okay, so the bathrooms are dirty and the parking is tough. Nonetheless, it is easily the best nightclub in Houston. The music is great (and Friday nights are getting a little more modern), the drinks are cheap and strong, and the people are laid back, friendly, and fun.
Add CommentUsed Syringes? This is the place to go!

Waited for DJ Keoki all night long. He finally showed up strung out on heroin. Worth the wait right? NOT. In the early 90's it rocked , now it sucks balls. Rest in peace, Numbers
It's an aquired taste...
I've been frequenting numbers for a long time and yes, there used to be alot of drugged out freaks. now the atmosphere has changed and there are no where as near as many druggies that go there. It's a realy good club w/ awesome dj's. " ;)@wes" The bartenders are some of the best i have seen, and i used to work for a high scale bar. and as far as 14 year olds, the are there only on saturday nights because it's all ages night till midnight. i recomend this club to anyone because the music rocks, the people are friendly, and hey, who can beat 50 cent draft's!
Weird
Weird people, drugs drugs drugs.. Who knows what can happen at this place. Not a good idea.
Edgy place keeps up with the times....
Numbers has been on the front edge of the nightclub scene for years. Yes, clubbers bring some "bad" habits with them, but that's everywhere. The music is great, often leading the front, and they acknowlege that there are lots of different musical tastes out there. Talk about aging gracefully - go Numbers!
this is the worst night club i have ever been too!
Numbers is the worst night club I've ever been to. It is nothing but a bunch of 14 yr olds trying to score a line. although i rate it a 1 because the music is the only good thing about it. this is the ultimate place to go if you are an addict and the worst place if you just wanna dance.

#'s used to be full of cool people, etc. Nowadays there are too many nerds, posers, and obnoxious drunk people who attend to take advantage of the cheap draft beer. 80's music on Fridays is getting a little boring. It's been the format for as long as I can remember. The club should consider bringing back current progressive house techno back on Saturday nights as a regular format. It used to be pretty good back in the mid 90's. Plus the club itself is in need of a little renovation both inside and outside. Outside--the parking lot needs to be repaved and maybe even expanded if possible.

What more is there to say other than NUMBERS ROCKS. Where else can you go and listen to the best music in town and where a vampire lurks around every dark corner? The atmosphere was home to me on Friday nights.

I went there for my first time and yeh, the bath rooms were dirty, the people were scary, and the 80's music was the f*ckin' best. I went to see Kelly Osbourne and that show was crazy. I met some great people there and I will definately be back there for another live show.
Sarahkathrn1979's Review

Numbers plays excellent 80's music, but the place is dirty, the people are scarry, and I don't even want to know what goes on in those bathroom stalls.
