Cafe-style Greek eatery Niko Niko's has been impressing Houstonians since 1977 with outstanding food, quick service and unbeatable prices. Houston's most popular gyro sandwich (chopped lamb and beef, spices, tomato, onion and Tzatziki sauce in a pita bread) comes with a choice of oven-roasted potatoes, seasoned yellow rice or homemade french fries. The gyro plate includes one rice-stuffed grape leaf. Niko Niko's is also the recipient of several Marvin Zindler Blue Ribbon Awards for kitchen cleanliness. -- Chase Hamblin

  • For those with discriminating taste buds

For a very picky guy like my hubby, I'm glad that I found this place that is suited to his taste. He said it has well-tasting food comparable to Greek places he eats at in NYC. I agree that their food is awesome, I sometimes crave for it. Just bear the long line on peak hours but once you get your food and seat, you can enjoy savoring your Greek delight:)

  • Great Food, but NOT fast or cheap

    Review rating : 3out of 5   Pauljacksonhearn - 06/18/2008

The food is good here, and very hearty and filling, but honestly, the prices are NOT cheap and there is no service. You stand in a long line and order your food, then wait a long time until they call your number. But if you want good Greek food, then you go here.

Not only is the food terrific, the prices are moderate, friendly atmosphere, and now ample parking. Granted, if you go at the heighth of the lunch or dinner hour, there will be long lines....what do you expect when there is such excellance?????Luckly, I am retired, and can go during the "off" hours, so it is always a pleasure to enjoy my meal.

We have been seating there sinc it opened! Soooooo...., you hafta stand in line. This makes your food a quarter of what you would pay for elsewhere. Are they making money at these pricces? Absolutely, just look at their ne expansion!

Niko Niko's is a mouth watering rest. to eat at just about everything on there menu is delicious. But the long lines and finding a place to park may be a issue if ur impatient if not the wait is worth your while.

Really great food, with quick and friendly service. Usually a long line, but moves very quickly. Late lunch or early dinner best times.
