  • A GREAT ITALIAN RESTAURANT

    Review rating : 4out of 5   JSheinb785 - 11/26/2008

ALTHOUGH WE DON'T LIVE IN HOUSTON (200 MILES AWAY) ANY TIME WE'RE THERE WE MUST GO TO THIS RESTAURANT
THE ONLY THING WE MISS IS THEIR STUFFED ARTICHOKE(OUTSTANDING), WHICH THEYVE DISCONTINUED SOME TIME AGO.

I have enjoyed many wonderful treats ffom this establishment! In fact, I will be there with 5 adult members of my family this coming Friday night. There is no doubt whatsoever about the quality and freshness of the food, it always been great!! Very much looking forward to dinner, we are long time customers of Maggiano's, and always recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

And the lemon cookies are to DIE FOR!!! :-)

  • Leave happy...and full!

    Review rating : 5out of 5   patrckball - 03/18/2007

I have eaten here many times, including a company gathering. The plentiful food is always flavorful and tasty and pleasantly served by friendly, caring waiters. The venue is very comfortable, even if it is crowded and noisy. (It is a popular place!) I am always amused by my waiter's willingness to package huge amounts of leftover food to take home. I sometimes wonder if it is all from my table? Houston has many good Italian venues and, I think, Buca de Beppo should be on this list. Also great!

  • Good restaurant

    Review rating : 4out of 5   monimg83 - 11/17/2004

I loved the food and they do sever you huge portions. I had the chicken alfredo and a salad. The salad was not too good but the alfredo was excellent! The restaurant is nice romantic setting but it is extremely loud in there. They had a band or singer (can’t remember) and the people that were around the bar were very loud. It was a nice restaurant and I recommend that you try it but if you want to make it a romantic night make sure you go on a slow night and there is no live music.

  • Like Mama's?

    Review rating : 3out of 5   sspatters1 - 08/20/2004

While I'll certainly agree that Maggiano's serves huge portions, I can't agree that the food's just like Mama used to make...unless your Mama wasn't terribly good at cooking Italian food. The food at Maggiano's is ok, but there are plenty of Italian places in town that do a much better job.

  • Bring the Family

    Review rating : 4out of 5   wadester2u - 06/27/2004

Maggiano's is a family style Italian restaurant, situated in the heart of the Galleria area. Portions here are more than ample, and come complete with a wide and varied wine list. Sample a good Chianti and try the Gnocchi pasta, Calamari appetizer, and Chicken Marsala. The subdued lighting, wonderful array of traditional Italian dishes, and noveau chic clientele, will keep you mesmerized and satisfied.
