    When Marcus Davis was thinking about how to break into Houston's crowded restaurant scene, he remembered an offbeat breakfast that?s famous on the West Coast -- waffles and hot wings. No one else in town offered the decidedly unusual combo, so it seemed a natural choice to head up his Breakfast Klub menu. To balance things out, Davis threw in a Florida coast favorite, fried catfish and grits. Of course, Davis spells it ''katfish.'' Besides the grits, he adds a mound of potatoes or eggs and your choice of toast or biscuits. There's a daily special: Bacon, sausage or ham, eggs, potatoes or grits and toast or biscuit every morning 7-9AM. The menu features green eggs and ham (eggs scrambled with green peppers and chives), a club-type breakfast sandwich, pork chops, biscuits covered in sausage bits and gravy and lunch specials including more of those hot wings. -- Olivia Flores Alvarez

      I have been 3 or 4 times and while the food was good, exceptional is not a term I would use. The cost is ridiculous as so many things are ala carte, we have paid over $24 for 2 for breakfast!!! On top of the fact that you have to get your own condiments/cutlery etc., you would think for the price a bit of wait service would be included. We also felt rushed to order and to eat. Busboys cleared our plates as soon as we put our forks down.

      This is by far the best I have ever tasted. The food is always hot and fresh and the atmosphere is great as well. The line may be long but it goes by quick and it's worht the wait.

      On my first visit to the city I had the privilege of the "Breakfast" experience. It took me by surprise seeing the line outside. I am not one to wait long to eat but oddly enough the line moved along pretty fast. I liked how you are given a menu while you wait so once at the counter you place your order and find a table. The parking is not the best but the overall experience was pretty good.

      If you haven't gone, GO! If it's been a while, GO BACK! The waitstaff, the atmosphere, the prices and finally the FOOD, envelop you in comfort that takes you back down memory lane. As you make eye contact with other patrons enjoying their meals, you smile and share a moment of comradry because they too have discovered one of Houston's best if not so well kept secrets.

      My daughter took me to the Breakfast Klub for my annual birthday breakfast and boy-o-boy was I truly happy and satisfied. Everything was great, from driving up and see people in line standing on the outside, which means that this place has to be good, to the cordialness of a busy staff, the comfortable and great interior to the fantastic food and portions and prices. I loved it all and this has now become the family birthday breakfast place.

      I finally visited the Breakfast Klub with a friend after hearing the rave reviews and I can tell you, the reviews don't do it justice!!! You must experience it for yourself. I have never tasted food so good before. I was so satisfied with the portions, the staff, the astmosphere, and of course the food!!!! Once you take a bite, you forget about how long you stood in line. Trust me!!!Everything is definitely worth the wait. I will patronize the Breakfast Klub forever and will recommend it to any & everyone who asks, "Where is a good place to have breakfast?"
