On sunny weekend mornings, Baba Yega's patio is packed with brunch-goers, languishing under large umbrellas and sipping the restaurant's fresh-squeezed juices. The restaurant draws those seeking hearty, healthy fare made from fresh ingredients, such as organic greens and whole-grain breads. The menu leans toward vegetarian dishes like the portabello mushroom sandwich, but chicken dishes are also available for non-vegetarians.

Baba Yega -- named after the thunder witch in Slavonic mythology -- is nestled in an old home in the Montrose area. Choose from tables on the front or back patios, in the book-lined library or in the restaurant's cozier dining space. The crowd is artsy and eclectic; the antiques are tasteful without feeling stuffy. -- Christie Taylor

For a once a week regular years ago I was totally surprised with my recent experience. After the fire (years ago)I forgot about it. Two of my friends took me there to celebrate a significant birthday on a Saturday for Brunch prior to a Comets game. The expansion and remodeling is plesant and still has the charm the previous smaller restaurant. The lush garden, attentive service (French Waitress), and the food was better than ever. I will be back soon. I read the menue and if the Ruben is as good as it used to be, it is one of the best in the city.

I have been eating here for years! The atmosphere is so nice! It is not only good food, good staff, good location! I seriously can't say enough. I recently moved to Los Angeles and this is one of the restaurants I miss the most! It is a must stop on EVERY trip home!

This restaurant has been around for so many years that I tend to forget about.I always am reminded by one of my friends and we go.Everytime I do I say you can't keep doing this because it is really a great place to eat and the natives are friendly. The bar is also good.It is so good to know that somethings will never change. Thanks,Baba Yegas

I always love meeting friends for brunch on Sunday. The food and service are great. I have also ordered off of the menu and love the selections I have had so far. I took my mom last time she visited from out of state - returning for brunch is the first thing on her list of this to do.
