On sunny weekend mornings, Baba Yega's patio is packed with brunch-goers, languishing under large umbrellas and sipping the restaurant's fresh-squeezed juices. The restaurant draws those seeking hearty, healthy fare made from fresh ingredients, such as organic greens and whole-grain breads. The menu leans toward vegetarian dishes like the portabello mushroom sandwich, but chicken dishes are also available for non-vegetarians.

Baba Yega -- named after the thunder witch in Slavonic mythology -- is nestled in an old home in the Montrose area. Choose from tables on the front or back patios, in the book-lined library or in the restaurant's cozier dining space. The crowd is artsy and eclectic; the antiques are tasteful without feeling stuffy. -- Christie Taylor

Although, there was a line. The service was polite and the food was great!

Wonderful in every way except the restaurant demands that only one ticket will be written per table. They refuse to give you seperate tickets no matter what the reason may be. The management or owner should be aware that this is poor customer service due to themselves!

I have been many times and I will keep going back. The food, the atmosphere, the service are all awesome. There is no one thing I dislike there. After the first time, you're hooked. And don't forget the wonderful Brunches!! Heavenly!!

I have been dining at this great little place for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Food is always great..service is excellent..managers are always on duty and has the best bartender in Montrose (Debbie). Can't say enough good things. Try it!

Such nice surroundings; such unpleasant staff. I went with a group of about 16 on Sunday, Nov 2, for a friend's going away party. From the minute we walked in, the staff regarded us an imposition and the place was not even busy. We were assigned one rude waitress for the whole group. The service was absolutely rotten. And they had the nerve to add a 15% tip to the bill! Most of us are never going back. Cafe Express basically has the same quality food and they serve it with a smile.
