Scotty P's offers what so many family-friendly restaurants these days don't -- a sense of community, the pleasure of dining in a family-run establishment and the knowledge that your dinner isn't being provided by a huge corporate climate. Instead, Scotty P's relies on basic-but-delicious burgers and salads, terrific onion rings and fries, ice cream shakes and homemade chili. Cardiac fries, a pile of potatoes smothered in mounds of cheddar cheese, bacon bits and jalapenos, and served with a side of creamy buttermilk ranch dressing, are one of the most popular selections on the menu. However, there is also wide variety of children's meals, and kids are given crayons and a cartoon to color while they wait. Scotty P's is largely self-service; diners place their order at the counter then pick up their meal when their number is called. But the lack of waitstaff cuts down on costs, enabling visitors to order more of the food they love. Scotty P's is like a burger joint should be. -- Nancy Rosenberg

Planodo - 07/06/2008Don't care what location, each person is treated as a valued customer. Spic and span cleanliness, and aroma of the juicy outstanding burgers will keep your mouth watering for five to ten minutes while food is prepared fresh. Buns are warm & toasty, but never soggy. Meat is a juicy top grade, and flame grilled. Soups are hearty and homemade. Salads just might help you stick to that diet. Jumbo rings are plentiful and never grease laden. Flavor is in every order. Not happy? Speak up and they will make it right. If you aren't satisfied at Scotty P's, its because you may not know how to order your food the way you truly want it. It isn't their fault. This burger joint is not for people brought up on happy meals and frozen dinners. Its real food made fresh and served with a smile. After serious scruntiny , I can only find one thing left out at S.P's, they simply must offer some sweet relish on the hot dogs and flame grilled burgers. Plano location gets our business at least three times month.

orchid4sue - 06/06/2008Scotty P's, tiny burgers, overpriced, TINY fry portions. I have dined at three thinking perhaps location. NOPE, Scotty P's would not tell anyone to eat there. I sent a letter to corp, ZERO response. Same lousy processed over priced food. Save your money!!!

Aceg1402 - 05/16/2008Actually I have never been to this place but I rated it good just because no restaurant is perfect. You might get a disease from just about anywhere. If there would have been a Veggie Burger Option I would have rated that BEST for health, the Earth, TASTE, the Animals and, last but not least, for the starving people of the world.
