In the same location on Upper Greenville that El Arroyo called home for so many years, a new Italian spot has settled in quite nicely. Roma's is a laid-back kind of a place where you can slide into one of the comfortable hunter green booths and order up some pizza or pasta and wash it down with a cold beer. Colorful murals of Venice and Pisa have been tastefully applied giving Roma's a bit of an Old World feel. One of the largest decks in Dallas remains cuddled up to the speeding traffic on Greenville and overlooking a creek that runs through a small gathering of trees. As for the inexpensive vittles, sample a little bit of everything Roma's has to offer with the Combo Dinner that includes manicotti, lasagna and ravioli. Pizza people can play it safe with the thin crust pizza topped with your choice of the usual suspects.

Roma's Dallas (Greenville Ave) is a quaint and homey establishment, with a great patio.
If you dine at the right time, in the evening, you will be visited by furry, hungry and sometimes intimidating raccoons. No worries all they want is a small slice of pizza and a cannolli.
I have to admit they have really delicious thin-style Neopolitian pizza, and it's even better if you eat at the restaurant. As soon as the pizza gets out of the oven and onto your table, the crust maintains its crispiness.
When you have that same pizza at home it looses that quality.
Also their Lasagna is pretty damn good, and their prices are pretty hard to beat.
A few things that really bother me about the restaurant are the shortcuts that are taken. As a Texan I know Ranch dressing like the back of my hand, and the difference between bottled Ranch dressing and homemade is night and day. That is one short cut that should be avoided like the plague!!! Another really bad call are the olives they use for their "Greek Salad". A Greek Salad should never, ever have any other olive but a Kalamata, and when it does the Greek Gods shake there huge Greek heads in disappointment. Last but definitely not least is there choice for Italian sausage, it seems be frozen soy product rolled in perfect little rat turds (sorry for the visual) yuk!!
Considering some of the other pizza joints choices this one ain't that bad, as long as you heed my warnings. Bon Appetit!!Love it!
Just tried the resturant for the first time and it was fantastic. Amazing service, food, and atmosphere.
