Everything on the menu here is country-fried; and so is the atmosphere. Sometimes it seems as if the whole "no shirt, no shoes, no service" thing is just a suggestion at Barbec's. Of course, if you can look beyond all that, you will enjoy a fine breakfast at this little hole-in-the-wall. If you go to Barbec's and you don't have the beer biscuits, you might as well have gone somewhere else. Everyone who has ever been to the place raves about the biscuits; and the bacon, eggs and other country breakfast favorites are also top-notch. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, but most people don't bother with that. Barbec's is known for its breakfast and biscuits -- and it will probably never be known for anything else. -- Bryan Lindsey

  • THIS PLACE SUCKS

I had been going to Barbecks for many years. That is when Barry and Becky owned it. From the looks and taste of things they no longer do.
I moved out of the area and was really looking forward, upon my return, to try some of my old favorites.
Wait staff was less than desired.
The cleanliness of the place was repulsive.
Food should have been served to the Sr Citizen Center behind, because you surely didn't have to chew anything. All either overcooked or just awful.
    I will not be back!
Such a shame............. used to be great

This is the place for mom's biscuits and sausage gravy!! Come early on the weekends or prepare to wait...and it is worth the wait!! Try the chipped beef gravy for a change. I have never been dissapointed here.

They have been shut down several times in one month by the health department for rats and roaches. They remodeled and they still have these problems. I will not ever spend my money there.

Wasted our time eating there once and won't do it again. Beer biscuits were OK, but the flavor doesn't work with gravy. Too sweet. Breakfast pork chops were as thin as thick sliced bacon. Service left a lot to be desired. To be fair the coffee was fresh.

Still going downhill, gathering speed. DO NOT go out of your way to eat here. I believe what used to be good beer bisquits now come from a can. breakfast appears just slopped on the plate, really not appetizing at all.

Blah, now just a common run of the mill, less than average joint. The beer bisquits are one of the most overrated food items in Dallas. Heck, go to McYick or BoogerKing and the bisquits are a lot better than Barbecs. The quality of food left with the old owners.
