This is some crappy cheap low grade meat and unhealthy buns! This is ridiculous to be listed higher than Casino El Camino or McCormick and Schmidt's.

  • PTERRY'S is THE BURGER Place along with HUTs

Why city's best did not go to austin is strange... Look for the PTERRY anniversary shirts around Austin and then go there yourself...of course, if IN & OUT every leaves CA/NV it will be THE best place ...

Whataburger is #3?! It's a fricking fast food chain; there's nothing Austin about it. It must be the third best burger in all of Texas then.

  • No better burger anywhere at any price.

Go to any of the upscale, expensive burger places. On another day go to any Whataburger. It is still my favorite. They are making progress on their onion rings and french fries. Dan's still has the best onion rings and McDonalds the best french fries. If you head to Dallas or Ft. Worth, try Braums in Hillsboro (or north). Braums burgers cant hold a candle to Whataburger, but for 50 cents more you can substitute a hand-make shake with any flavor ice cream in the store. Try the mocca fudge -- evil!

Whataburger has the nostaligic taste of hamburgers I recall from my early childhood, well before the fast food craze. Somewhere along the way, that old fashion flavor and attention to detail disappeared and morphed into something now called hamburgers but represent a wholly new product. It may be unfair to rate the new types as they have been embellished beyond all recognition. and need to be given a new name.
