calmedexperts1 - 02/08/2007The outside does not tell what you get on the inside..Beautiful woods, nice helpful staff and Great Food. Was last there on New Years Eve..got a nice hat out of the deal..Only complaint is the drinks are a bit weak, especially for the price..and that is why I take one star off..They make so much money on alcohol, they don't need to skimp on the booze poured...But the food was excellent and the four of us had a great evening and will return soon and probably just order beer, they can't mess that up.

Took my parents there over the Xmas holidays. Everything from the drinks in the bar to the desserts were fabulous. We had oysters and seafood samplers as appetizers. Steak and sea bass for entrees and souffes for dessert. Everything from our food to service was outstanding. Expensive yes but was nice to go somewhere in Austin where the waiters don't look like homeless people and a ctually uderstand the meaning of service. Someone who is not a keep Austin weird fan!

thedonaldiii - 06/09/2005I have traveled the world and I would rate Sullivan's in Austin as one of the finest, if not the finest, steak houses that I have dined in! Sullivan's Austin was the first opened in the chain and is still the best. The beef is fabulous, tender and well prepared. The sea food is fresh and delicious. It is hard to believe that this restaurant can stay so fabulous, offer fresh delicious sides and have great friendly staff! I always feel welcome and at home at Sullivan's. It's the best!
terrible steaks
amyjaustin - 10/27/2004The atmoshpere is nice, I expected a little more from the food. The steak didn't have a good flavor and the sides were bland. If atmoshpere is more important than food, this is the place. If food is #1, I would try another steakhouse.
