There's nothing short-sighted about this downtown hot spot. Known for its savory hickory-smoked meats and accompanying side treats, such as tater salad, slaw, pepper cheese spinach and collard greens, Stubb's is also known as an indoor and outdoor music venue. The historic brick building, wooden seating, hardwood floors and dimmed interior radiate a saloon feel. The Sunday Gospel Brunch is a buffet of barbecue and breakfast favorites, complete with soulful tunes and local singers -- a truly unique way to spend a Sunday morning. The turkey, smoked chicken and Angus beef don't disappoint. Kick up your heels, grab a cold one and feast on some of Austin's finest. -- Kelly Lee

Stubb's Bbq on Top !

Food is great and the music they bring is right up my alley. If you like BBQ or just love good music, this is a perfect place for you.

The critics, again, are wrong
Once again, the critics are talking down on a movie that everyone, at least in the showing I sat through, loved. As with the book, I spent the entire time crying, laughing and laughing through my crying. Lisa Kudrow steals every single scene she's in. While it doesn't follow the book exactly, and I've heard many complaints about that, it keeps the soul of Ahern's novel and that's what is important. I don't need a PS to say how much I love this movie. The actors were perfect for the roles. The dialogue was amazing. I found myself comparing aspects of the on-screen relationship between Holly and Gerry to my own - the hilarious fighting, the silent treatment that I have perfected... I absolutely adored this movie. I can't wait to see it again and again.
Bogus Reviews
The fact that Stubb's shows up as the 4 of the 5 top reviews indicates that either the owner, manager, or an employee is submitting the reviews (repeatedly).
AOL should be censored and banned from reporting such self-serving reviews. Where are AOL's conscience and QA/QC?
Obviously, there are neither.
Stubb's may be an OK place, but it is not the best that the Austin area has to offer.
AOL, please get your sh*t (act) together. How much is Stubb's paying you for these reviews?was better in the old days

way over priced for what you get. too salty and small portions. i paid 15 bucks (less tip) for two beef ribs, potato salad, a roll and ice tea. the original owner mr stubblefield would roll over in his grave if he knew how things are now. it was great when he owned and ran the biz.
Unique venue. One of the best.
But why does it take the top many spots in the 'best of list'? There is only one Stubb's and one mention suffices. I'm vegan, so the food is not an option.
Service with a bad attitude
Sauce is the only saving grace. Very overpriced. Very dissapointed.
