Years ago when the Ryman hosted the Grand Old Opry, the performers on occasion would sneak out the back door to have a drink or two at Tootsie's before the next show. The performers and musicians would intermingle, and every now and then a song would be written that would make history. Now, you'll find hundreds of autographed photos of the stars of yesterday and today plastered everywhere. The traditional country music vibe can still be felt at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. WE got sinners, we got loosers, chain smokers and boozers. Well, get the idea. This is definately a MUST see when visiting Nashville. Many of country music stars would come over to Tootsie's after performing at the Rhyman. It is also the place where many of country music's brightest stars started. I would suggest getting there early in the evening, this place fills up fast, and stays that way.
Next time you're in Nashville, stop in for a "HOLLER AND A SWALLER, AND DON'T FORGET TO TIP THE BAND A DOLLAR".T George from GA

I often wonder what I walked away from. If I had known how lost I would feel, I wouldn't have turned & walked away without a phone #. LOST!!!!!!!!
