Who would suspect that Nashville's finest pizza makers (regularly voted Best Non-Chain Pizza by readers of Nashville's alternative newsweekly) were not from Italy, or even New York City, but Iran? Ami and Ali Arab came to Nashville to attend college in 1978, but with the fall of the Shah in 1979, their family fortunes went up in smoke and the brothers got their first jobs in one of Nashville's few Italian restaurants. In 1983, they purchased a former donut shop and turned it into a pizza parlor, calling it Pizza Perfect. "Iranians are not thought of as typical pizza people," explains Amir. "We thought we would have to make perfect pizza to get over not being Italian." Their big, crispy-crusted pies are pretty darn close, hand-tossed with homemade sauce and generously covered with fresh toppings. The store also serves calzone, sub sandwiches, and baked pastas, but it's the perfect pizza that feeds the family.

Very good
They make this fresh and will put on it what you want. If you don't want an item listed for that pizza they will exchange it for something else. Very good.

I'm a transplanted New York Italian. Pizza is my soul food. Pizza Perfect is the best in town.
The ABSOLUTE best Pizza in TN

I've eaten pizza in NY and Chicago, and this is the best and closest you'lll come to the real thing! I've eaten their pizza since they first opened their original location across from David Lipscomb campus and the quality has never changed (not to mention the fact that you can have some really unique toppings which you can't get at many of the other places). I'm a fan!
