The tradition of family bonding around the dinner table is carried on at Monell's, where tables seating about a dozen gather for a genuine Southern meal, meat-and-three style. The beautiful building is found just seven blocks north of the state capitol in the historic Germantown area. While guests meet and greet one another, the superb staff serves a rotating menu that includes large bowls of vegetables, baskets of bread and main entrees like skillet fried chicken, pork chops, chicken and dumplings or country style steak. Piping hot dishes are passed around the table (always remember to pass to the left). The traditions of the south dont stop at dinner.
