Just Love It!!!!!

I'm originally from Nashville but I now live in Yorktown VA and when I come home with friends the first place I take them out to dine is at Monell's and they like I just love it we often sit and talk about it after we have returned from our trip of how we wish that there was a Monell's closer to us. My friends often tell me we should just jump on a plane and take all our closest friends and family from VA to Monell's because we love it so much. Please keep up the good work and I can't wait until my next visit.

The food was not good and I'm a southern girl. Too clumpy and too greasy. The Nashville location doesn't feel clean. I'd much prefer sitting with the people I know.

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of dining here on may 21, 2008. It has all of the charm of a good old fashioned after church social. Great atmosphere and down home country goodness. We ate entirely too much as the servers just kept bring more food than either of us could consume. All of which was prepared deliciously and much to our satisfaction. Way to go Monell's keep up the great job!

No Offense

Honestly, this was not what we expected. Hoping for a great home cooked meal for my father's 79th birthday. Went to Franklin location. This place will not be open long. Maybe the Nashville location is better, but absolutely nothing was worth eating except for the green beans. Concept is great eating with strangers and passing food around. Atmosphere is nice too--best classical guitarist I've heard in a while, but the food was grossness like I've never experienced. California reviewer, I hope Nashville was not like this, and if so, please don't think we all cook like this in the south--surely you were just being nice.

my sister came to town for the music city marathon and we had 12 people in our party. Got to say i was a bit scepticle about the area. But it is a very quaint little place. There is a garden area where you can sit outside with a pond and lots of benches and swings. We had to wait awhile for the whole party to arrive and would not sit us until we were all there. I can understand this because they could hold a table for an hour and be missing out on customers. The food itself was served shortly after sitting down. All family style home cooking. Just keep passing the food around. What you want more??? Here comes more food.!! fried chicken smashed potatoes fried apples. Cabbage, Fish, Hush puppies, cucumbers, Bread pudding. More than i can remember. All I know is I had to have a nap on the way home.

The food is fantastic! I live in California and find myself craving Monnell's. It's also fun sitting with people you've never met and having conversation.
