This Georgia-based pizza-and-beer hangout makes its first appearance in Nashville across from the Vanderbilt campus, where its collegiate, cool atmosphere is likely to thrive. The pizza and calzones are created with spring water and baked in a hearth oven and boast an almost sweet-tasting crust, which also works well for the garlic butter or honey basted pretzels. Half and whole toasted hoagies and salads round out the menu. The sunny yellow walls are plastered with the kind of rock album covers you'd associate with a place called the Mellow Mushroom, and Dylan, the Doors and the Dead are often heard throughout the dining area. Try the small patio for a great spot to watch the world (the students, anyway) go by, and sample the plentiful beer selection -- 21 drafts and 36 bottles.
