Boscos is one of Nashville's most impressive bars. Grandiose palladium mirrors soar to 20- foot ceilings surrounded by walls of over-sized ash and mauve faux bricks. Enormous brass light fixtures hang from above, casting a warm glow on refined and educated customers indulging in Greek pizza (herb-rubbed lamb, olives and feta cheese). Soft music playing in the background sets the tone as couples gaze into each others eyes. The noise and crowd intensify on weekends, but Boscos' atmosphere continues to charm and is second only to the brewmeisters capacity to concoct award-winning brews sure to satisfy any connoisseurs taste. Before choosing one beer, order a "full sampler" to experiment everything from a raspberry-topped light American wheat to the darkest, richest ale. -- Rebecca Malone Melo

  • Good beer, nice atmosphere, okay food

    Review rating : 3out of 5   Spookiecat - 05/09/2009

The beer selections are mostly quite good and change often enough to keep things interesting. Atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable. The food is usually decent -- nothing to get terribly excited about, but adequate, especially at Bosco's relatively affordable prices. While the servers are unfailingly polite and pleasant, service can be spotty.

I've been to Boscos several times and always enjoy thier interesting selection of food and beers. The wait staff has always been very informative and polite. The only issue I have is the noise level, because of the high ceillings when the place is crowded, especially on the weekends.
Other wise, an excellent selection of beer and always a treat food wise.

I love the Beer the food is not bad and most of the people that work there are expedient and got to know me in just a few visits. John always has my beer poured before I even make my presence known and thomas always cracks me up. The people here are welll educated and finding a good conversation is no chore. They do close a bit early for me at 2a.m. but you cant beat it! skip the sampler and dig right in with the scottish ale! Winner every time!
