    Review rating : 5out of 5   bsherwoodc - 04/15/2005

I have eaten at just about every bbq shop in the city, and Blues City Cafe on Beale has the best ribs in the city hands down. People will tell you over and over about the Rendevous, although a good experience, their 2nd tier to this hole in a wall on Beale St!!

I'll give it one star for the atmospehere. The ribs were not good at all, the side dishes were better! We'll have to try the shrimp next trip...If there is one, this place is as bad as Rendezvous with their ribs!!

Is $19.95 a lot to pay for ribs? I don't know, all I know is that they are excellent!! Great job!

I've tried all the ribs in Memohis... Rendezvous, Cozy Corner, Corky's and Interstate B-B-Q, and without a doubt, Blues City's ribs are the best... hands down. The downside is a slab will run you $19.95 plus tax... not cheap, by any means. But, damn, are they good. They make them tender, I bet broil them, so when you tocuh them, the meat just falls right off the bones. Execellent ribs if you dont mind paying for them.
