Big Tim
McDanielDC - 06/15/2008I often saw Tim Russert at the Pa. Ave location at lunch and I will sorely miss his big Irish mug on my TV and at Capital Grille.
I honestly never saw him that he wasn't wearing a big smile and he always said hello to everyone from the busboys to the biggest patrons. (I really miss the old days of jibes between him and Ken Starr).
My wife is a USAF Col. and Tim always said a respectfull hello to men/women in uniform. I will never go to Capital Grille or Rd Tomato in Bethesda that I don't miss his larger than life presence.Comments(0)|Add Comment- JohnnyEber - 06/11/2008
Decent Steaks, terrible service
Sansu5525 - 06/11/2008Overall, not the best steaks in DC, but great atmosphere and decent food. The place could vastly improve its service though - it is like being on a roller coaster ride - sometimes good and sometimes very poor. When the restaurnat is busy, the wait staff are non-attentive, short and seem to rush you through a meal. One time we had to fill our own water glasses and my wife went to the bar to get another glass of wine. The clientele seems to make the place a tad stuffy, but the bartenders know how to keep to keep the spirits hight. Overall, decent food, but please work on the wait staff - when you are dropping several hundred dollars on a meal, good service is expected.
