The Best of Everything
Island Prime has it all, the best food, (thanks to the best chef, Deb Scott), the most gorgeous views, and one of the managers, Matt is very conscientious to ensure everything is to satisfaction and if you are lucky to get Melissa as your waitress, you hit the jackpot. We go to Island Prime as often as our wallets permit, as it is a bit pricey, but well worth the money. We have brought many friends there when they visit and even many of our local friends. They too all love it and brag about it. Just thinking of the place makes our mouths water. Island Prime is the best restaurant experience we have ever experienced and we have been all over the world, so that says a lot. Nothing tops Island Prime in our book. if you like escargot, it is a must try appetizer, the best ever, as is the filet mignon and lobster tail. Thanks Island Prime for always giving us something to look forward to. Maureen and Tracey

BEEN TO C-LEVEL OFTEN... GOING THERE IN A FEW MINUTES, BY THE WAY. HAD AN AMAZING KOBE BEEF BURGER THERE A FEW MONTHS BACK AND I RARELY CONSUME RED MEAT. USUALLY BUSY, WITH 20 & 30 SOMETHINGS CROWDING, BUT WE ALWAYS SEEMS TO GET A GREAT TABLE AND SOME 'KINE CHOW.
ISLAND PRIME IS MIGHTY FINE AS WELL... AFTER FIVE OR SIX VISITS, SEEMS TO PROVIDE KILLER EATS... VISITING FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE REALLY HAPPY, FOR SURE.not a good experience
Man, I went there and the shit ******* sucked!!! The food sucked and the service swallowed!! Don't go there unless you're a glutton for punishment! The bastards!!

I was more than impressed with Island Prime. The food was excellant and the view was to die for. I will definately eat there again.
Great View, Bad Food
We visited Island Prime for my birthday and were sorely disappointed. While the service wasn't the worst we had, it surely was too slow for what is billed as a top notch establishment.
When we received our food, my boyfriend's steak consisted mainly of large chucks of fat and grissle. Clearly, the kitchen had made an attempt to cover the inferior meat with sauce, but it was no use. After sending the steak back and getting an equally bad steak, we were told that management would cover the cost. We had also been told that the restaurant was having problems with their meat distributor and they were in the process of changing vendors.
My scallops fared only marginally better. Three of the jumbo scallops were fine, but not spectacular. However, the other three were mildly bitter, indicating a lack of freshness.
But the prices are way too high for mediocre service and bad food. Even with the steak comped, our total for the scallops, two side dishes and no beverages (only water) came to $69, not including tip.
