Surrounded by memories of zesty meals shared by hard-working Italian families, Sanford incorporates the best of Mediterranean with a bit of French flair and a dash of contemporary American elegance. The simple grace of the dining room provides a relaxing atmosphere, where diners can focus on enjoying themselves. The waitstaff expertly guides diners through selections of four, five or more courses -- the kitchen will even tailor a seven-course meal just for you. Classics such as grilled marinated tuna with cumin wafers are complemented by more exotic fare, including glazed squab and spiced peach couscous. Lighter possibilities include sauteed morels and chanterelles with a melange of vegetables, or the gazpacho with tomato relish and lime cream. Many daily specials, decadent desserts and an extensive wine list are also offered. The kitchen is very accommodating to vegetarians and those with special dietary restrictions. Sanford is definitely one of Milwaukee's finer special occasion places, perfect for a romantic night with a loved one or a great place to impress a date.

When you get to recipes for people who make less than $100K I might try one. Recipes that call for 5 juniper berries ( where do I buy just 5 juniper berries)or beans & weiners or mac and cheese that cost 100 bucks to pepare I'm done. By the way I served you hamburgers at Jeannie Quinn's on Milwaukee St.

This place is a laugh. Way too tiny,no privacy whatsoever! Food is average at best, but it arranged nice on the plate! Very over priced. Not good for the value, and overall not a value at all. If you decide to go anyway, stop at a drive thru first!!!!!!!!!
Yikes!
Well ,if this is what the best chef in the state puts out,i will eat at home. Pricey, long wait, small portions, are just some of the draw -backs. Cant beleive they get much return business. Oh ,the food is just o.k.
