This A-list eatery caters to a chic and sexy crowd of young urbanites, sports stars and business folk with fat expense accounts and important clients to schmooze. The interior is intimate with soft lighting and dark wood. The servers are as professional, polished and there to anticipate your every need.

Featuring bona fide prime beef, the meat is aged to perfection, hand cut and then perfectly prepared and served to enthusiastic reviews. Steaks seem slightly smaller than the size of your head with favorites running the range of succulent 12-ounce filets, fork-tender prime rib, 24-ounce Porterhouse and spunky peppercorn steak. The sides come a la carte with a variety of ambitious spud concoctions from pillowy mashers to crunchy skillet potatoes. For the dieters of the world, there are plenty of seafood and fresh vegetable options to choose from.

  • Good but not Great

We called several days ahead and we're told they had prime rib on Sunday night so we made plans to go then althogh not our favorite night. The waiter said no prime rib, who told you that? We split one steak which seemed to turn the waiter off, although we did order drinks and extras. They did comp the $16 appetizer which was cool and the steak was a bone-in filet which was great. The manager sort of questioned our story about the prime rib and had some attiude rather than just being polite. We left the waiter a nice tip, 15-20% but he was long gone by the time we finished and that was sort of good-riddance. He could have been more polite as well. Guess I'm not a "celebrity."

  • What a disappointment

    Review rating : 1out of 5   MDNIEBURG - 06/11/2008

2nd visit was just as poor as the 1st. We took and out of town client, at her request. We all 3 had different cuts of meat(most expensive), and once again, tried to figure out why we came back. Seriously, this place is such a hype. I guess they get good ratings because they have sports personalities on the wall. The steaks all came out exactly the same, even though we asked for different temperatures. That's not that big of deal, but the poor cuts(fatty & tough) is not acceptable, AT ANY PRICE. If you don't care about money, or quality, this is definitely your place. The salad was good both times, but not worth $200.

  • Top notch

I travel a lot and have eaten in many steak house, although I still have not tried Peter Luger's. In any case, the food, wine selection and service at Del Frisco's was outstanding (I just went for the 1st time). Also, their prices are very, very reasonable considering the quality of the food and overall level of clientele.
