The Rat Pack would have fit right in at this elegant, clubby LoDo steakhouse.

In Short
Dark-paneled walls accented by hunting-dog oil paintings surround white-linened tables. Leather booths offer limited privacy, while curtained French doors hide four private rooms. A digital ticker broadcasts up-to-the-minute world news to buzzing bar patrons who include local sports celebrities and power brokers. The specialty here is dry-aged steaks and their sauces--from simple au jus to a Courvoisier cognac cream and peppercorn sauce. Try rich au gratin potatoes or creamed spinich on the side.

By far the best steakhouse in Denver. They had this horseradish filet that was on special that is probably the best steak I have ever tasted. Also my waiter was outstanding. After finishing a bottle of wine I was given a free glass of wine while my girlfriend finished her drink. I highly recommend.

There is no question the dry ages steaks at the Capital Grille are the best in Denver. The atmonsphere is that of an old club with excellent service.

  • Marvelous food and service

We took our son and granddaughter out for birthday celebration. They were most accomodating to change our seating to be away from the smokie bar. They had no problem with splitting salads and an entree for my wife and granddaughter. The food was superb! We are going back for our 50th this week.

Had the opportunity to be in a party of 12 on a busy Tuesday night in March. We waited in the crowded bar briefly, and were ushered into our reserved table. The menu was tremendous-a great mix. I chose the Boneless Sirloin and was not disappointed. I have been in the meat business since 1965, and I rate the steak that I had as excellent. Very flavorful, trimmed and cooked to perfection. The waiter was fantastic---he was able to discuss the wine list in detail, took great care of us, and laid a handful of his business cards on us at the end of the meal. Overall, a wonderful dining experience !!

  • Gee, ANOTHER Steakhouse

Go to any steakhouse, they all mirror each other. Capital Grille offered nothing that Morton's, Brook's, and Del Frisco's hasn't been doing for years. They just have the distinction of saturating downtown last. Dinner was nothing out of the ordinary, Brook's Steakhouse still has the best steaks in Denver.
