Okay, so it's housed inside the North Raleigh Hilton, and going out to a hotel bar doesn't exactly seem that appealing. But this isn't the case at Skybox Grill and Bar. Sure, it may share a roof with the Hilton, but once you step inside, the feel is of nothing less than a stand-alone sports bar. Here, fans congregate to watch their favorite sporting events on the six-by-10-foot or five-by-nine-foot high-definition projection screens, five plasmas or any of 38 32-inch flat-screen monitors. If your game is a wash, you can play a game of pool or try your luck at one of five interactive games, including Golden Tee 2005.

Pub grub here consists of typical fare such as chicken wings, burgers and quesadillas, but they also take it up a notch with good cuts of steak, a solid wine list and a good selection of both domestics and imports.
