On weekend nights, the bi-level Tom Tom Club can feel like an eternal spring break party. The music is loud, and the light beer and kamikaze shots are plentiful and fairly cheap. Though spacious, Tom Tom is much like every other Eighteenth Street bar -- it packs in the crowds, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, and especially the bulging singles crowd, looking for a like-minded soul with which to spend some quality time. As the main drag goes, this unpretentious hang serves its middle-of-the-road purpose. Its not a swank spot that requires stilettos to get in, but its not a sticky dive bar either. There are plenty of couches and loveseats to lounge on, or, you can sweat it out on the crowded dance floor. DJs spin a mix of pop, rock, and even metal on the second floor, and heaters warm the large rooftop patio and balcony year-round. Drink specials abound.

Dont bother!
You will spend a lot of time and money for poor service and rude people not to mention the owners indifference to her customers. Took forever to get service!

The girls were wearing str8 up window drapes. The dance floor is smaller then my bathroom and the whole place feels like it is going to cave in at any moment from the behemoths on the dance floor. The stairs go STRAIGHT up! I never seen stairs like this in a bar in my life... I had to avoid drunk asses as they tumbled down the stairs at least twice. The music was good at least but how hard is it to do that when all you play is top40.

I've been to Tom Tom twice and both times I had a horrible experience. The dance floor is so packed that you can't really dance and the guys at door were completely out of hand in the way they spoke to customers. It's hard to enjoy your drink when the roof is leaking on your head. At least the bartenders were nice and the music was good.
