The Construction at the Wesitn is FINALLY OVER!!!!
I found out about The Oceanaire Seafood Room back when I was visitng their other location in Washingon, D.C. I loved the food: "ultra-fresh" cusine, as the servers/managers and the Executive Chef that stopped by the table all called it. The one in Dallas is fantastic and I love the food and the service aswell. My business associates and I frequent the place very often, and I still love the atmosphere, service, food, and the professional management team. Reader: you should go!

I am travelling to Dallas in a couple of weeks and I already know that I will be making a stop at The Oceanaire Seafood Room. I live in Houston and was happy to discover this delightful restaurant one day while shopping. It has oysters that are out of this world and fish so fresh I'd swear the boat that caught them was right out back! The atmosphere is that of an old school supper club, right down to the bathrooms. The prices are a little steep for some items but they do serve larger than average portions.I can only imagine that my dining experience will be equally as wonderful in Dallas as it has been time after time in Houston
Best Seafood I've Ever Had!
I recently took my boyfriend to The Oceanaire for his birthday, we have been to there many times before, but it never fails that we have a great time, great food and great service so we love going back!
We always have to have the crab cakes, they are so amazing! And the creamed corn is to die for! On top of it, we had the wonderful surprise of a flaming dessert delivered for my boyfriend's birthday!
All in all a wonderful experience! We can't wait to go back again!Good food, but..........
I love The Oceanaire, I really do, but I will not be going back. I took my daughter there for her 18th birthday (her first time there and my second), a special occasion for us, and a 2-year old child spent the ENTIRE evening screaming his head off for attention, all while three adults sat at the table with him and ignored him while enjoying their meal. The food was delicious, yes, but I resent the fact that I spent $135 for a meal (including a very generous 23% tip) and couldn't enjoy the meal. Did the two managers do anything? No, they didn't. A couple of waiters stopped by to try to remedy the situation, but that was all. I did mention our distress to my waitress who, no doubt, was feeling a bit overwhelmed about it all. I did not let my displeasure be reflected in her tip; instead, it will be reflected in the fact that I won't be going back. There are too many other fine restaurants in Dallas who hopefully can take control of such an unpleasant situation better than The Oceanaire. And what idiot takes a 2-year old to such a restaurant anyway? Why not take the little darling to McDonald's? Because that's the feeling I had in the end - that I had just been to a VERY expensive McDonald's. Sorry - good food isn't the only reason to go to a fine restaurant. Ambience is the other reason. And there was none last night.
