  • F. Scott's is THE place

I moved to Nashville a couple of years ago and was afraid the restaurants would all be chains or steak places. Wrong! F. Scotts is like visiting a jazz bistro in the 1930's, and it has great food. It's privately owned by two lovely young women who are both wine experts. I try to go every chance I get. The wine list has great range; the food is exceptional, and the live music can be heard anywhere in the restaurant. I do a lot of international business, and it is the best place to take clients from overseas who want to see and taste the best restaurants in America.

My wife and I have been going to F. Scott's for many years. The amazing thing is that it gets better year after year. For us (and many friends in Nashville), it is the romantic spot of choice for the memorable events in our lives. The atmosphere is friendly and sophisticated. he best part for me is the live jazz music floating from the bar area, and the food is the best in town. If you are in Nashville for the first time, this is the place you will remember when you get back home.

  • The finest restaurant in Nashville.

Chef Will Uhlhorn's team creates an amazing and eclectic menu every season, using only the freshest ingredients and utilizing local produce whenever possible. The daily specials are always tempting offers and the waitstaff is knowledgeable, friendly and unobtrusive. The meats and fish are always perfectly cooked and the daily-made house sorbets and ice creams provide a perfect finish for those who don't care to indulge in the richer offerings of their decadent desserts. The atmosphere is dignified without being stiff and classy without becoming pretentious. Elise Loehr Solima also furnishes one of the best wine lists in the region and is almost always on hand to suggest the perfect pairing between grape and plate. The lounge area is perfect for meeting clients or a date for a drink and the truffle oil-infused pomme frites make for a lovely light snack while enjoying the live jazz.

This is without a doubt the most consistent and best food in Nashville, bar none. Nothing in the gulch could ever hope to achieve the standards of service and quality that are served up at F. Scott's.

Thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening with friends. Elise and Jeff are too cool and know their craft. The attention to detail and atmosphere are exceptional and I recommend this haunt completely.

Atomosphere is great. Service is awesome. Drinks and server knowledge exceptional. Band was absolutely fantastic. Food was awful. We had two appetizers and an entree each and nothing was anywhere past mediocre. Expensive, mediocre food.
