Message from Le Cirque

For over a quarter century, Le Cirque has remained the gustatory temple at the epicenter of New York's social, business and power dining scenes. Ringmaster Sirio Maccioni, long-recognized as the "world's most charismatic restaurateur," brings his Four-Star culinary magic to the Las Vegas Strip with the opening of Bellagio. Perched astride an eight-acre lake filled with dancing fountains, Le Cirque is a whimsical jewel box of color and detail, from the star-studded entry of polished woods to the sumptuous, swooping silk-tented ceiling. Le Cirque offers animated surroundings with vibrant French cookery that is by turns rustic and elegant: Braised rabbit in riesling with spaetzle, fava beans and wild mushrooms; roasted chicken in black truffle skin with roasted potatoes and lobster salad "Le Cirque" with black truffle dressing. Le Cirque is the proud recipient of the AAA Five Diamond Award.Visit Citysearch.com

Seasonal continental cuisine is served to fine diners under a circus big top.

In Short
Overlooking Bellagio's 8-acre lake with dancing fountains, this French restaurant has whimsical, elegant decor with a colorful, swooping, silk-tented ceiling and wall panels of circus-themed art. Executive Chef Marc Poidevin and Pastry Chef Patrice Caillot serve succulent offerings like black tie scallops tied with black truffles, consomme de boeuf with foie gras ravioli, salade mesclun, roasted duck with honey-spice glaze with figs, and roasted lobster in a port-wine sauce.

  • Amazing service but food is bland and overpriced

The service was superb - we had very attentive and knowledgeable wait staff who helped us a lot with the menu and wine offerings. I also loved the cute truffle boxes that they give out at the end. However, in terms of the quality/taste of the food, I expected more from a restaurant that has received so many Michelin stars. What I got was pretty bland, uninspiring, average food.

After dining at both Prime and Le Cirque on my first visit to Las Vegas; I decided upon my 2nd trip to recreate a fabulous evening. Le Cirque was again phenomenal; service and food beyond reproach. ( I am a former GM of a 4star establishment) The staff remembered the name of my host and myself although it had been months since my first visit. The following evening, showed up on time for my 10 pm reservation at Prime, only to be told by the "uber-snotty" hostess..."we do not have a reservation for you". ( in my room I found my confirmation number...by the way) ..So, walked back to Le Cirque, where we had just dined the evening prior and explained our predicament...we could not have been greeted more warmly by the very professional "Morgan" at the hostess stand. We were seated immediately, without a reservation, and had another memorable evening. ( I will be going back to Le Cirque in August....but I'll skip Prime)
