It's no secret that Detroit loves its Buddy's. In 1944, Gus Guerra's signature establishment emerged from the shadow of prohibition -- it's said to have existed as a blind pig -- at Six Mile and Conant, where they began offering Sicilian-style deep dish pizza to the public.
